This political thrill used to air on channel ABC and has this series till two seasons. After the second season, we have got this political series in the hands of Netflix. It was on 21 September 2016 that we have got season one of Designated Survivors and was in the air till 17 May 2017. The first season had 21 episodes. It was later on followed by the second and it released on 27 September 2017 with the addition of one more episode that previous one, that is 22 episodes. The third and the previous season we have got was on 7 June 2019 and had only 10 episodes.
After three seasons, the viewers wanted to know whether season four is happening or not? And if yes then when? Let me tell you that season four is not happening, at least not for now. In July 2019, Netflix announced that we will have no more seasons of Designated Survivor as the third season was the last one in this series.
What is the storyline of Designated Survivor 4
Since we know that it is a political drama, so it is sure that conspiracy and strategy are just mere things. It started with a day when everything or we can say everyone destroyed in Capital Building by a big massive explosion. Every important member of the house, also the President got killed. Those who were the candidates for President also got killed in that explosion. It was just the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development who was alive and later on he became the President himself. His name is Thomas Kirkman. These things are just some looks of this whole series. So if interested then you should definitely watch the previous seasons.
Who are there in the castings of Designated Survivors 4
We are now familiar with the news of cancellation and now we are pretty sure that season four is not happening for coming some years. But there were some castings that we have expected in season four to come and they are here as – Kiefer Sutherland will be seen as Tom Kirkman (the President), Adan Canto will be as Aaron Shore or Rivera, Italia Ricci must be as Emily Rodes, Kal Penn as Seth Wright, Maggie Q as Hannah Wells.
Season four is not happening and that’s why fans are not happy and they are still hoping that Netflix will renew this series. They want to see this political thrill back on screens.
