As per the complaint by Hindu Math, Two Muslim youths in a bike came to the Krishnanda Ashram of Periyambalam in Thrissur district, Kerala and warned the devotees there to conduct the prayers (Naamajapa) without the mic since it is a Muslim majority area. The devotees were asked to conduct the Naamajapa without the mic or stop the prayers if it cannot be done.

The complaint filed by Swami Sadhu Krishnanda Saraswathi, who is the General Secretary of the Ashram mentioned in his complaint that the village surrounding the Ashram is an area of religious harmony and that some people are trying to incite religious disharmony.

English Translation of the Complaint “A complaint written to the sub inspector, Vadakkekad Police Station by Swami Sadhu Krishnanada Saraswathi, Gen Secretary, Krishnanda Ashram.
Sir, While the usual Naamajapa was being conducted at the Krishnanda Ashram of Periyambamlam, two young people came in a bike and asked us to stop the Naamajapa and warned us to conduct the Naamajapa without the mic since it’s a Muslim majority area. The village surrounding the Ashram is an area that has practiced religious harmony. It is painful that some people are trying to incite religious disharmony by doing something like this. The man who said he’s from the neighborhood refused to tell me his name. I request you to please do the needful so that incidents like this do not occur anymore.”
