Legacies Runs Out of New Episodes

Like the relaxation of the world, The CW’s Legacies is hitting pause. Tonight’s episode (The CW, nine/8c) can be the closing new installment of the spring, TVLine has learned.

Plans for Legacies‘ go back will be introduced at a later date. Meanwhile, The CW is bumping up the sophomore season premier of In the Dark, so that it will now air in Legacies‘ time slot — Thursdays at 9 pm, beginning April sixteen. (The Perry Mattfeld-led series turned into previously scheduled to return on May 28.)

Series author Julie Plec eased fans’ worries thru twitter, promising “extra episodes to come as quickly as all of us go again to paintings.”

While that is genuinely an unfortunate turn of events for Legacies fans, it’s not a entire marvel. More than one hundred TV suggests, which includes the second one Vampire Diaries offshoot, have been forced to halt manufacturing in advance this month in response to the coronavirus disaster, so only a few network series have been able to finish filming — let alone finalizing — their complete seasons.

The CW has already skilled several agenda shifts as a result: Supernatural govt producer Andrew Dabb recently introduced thru Twitter that the display’s March 23 episode will be the final new one “for awhile,” while the community is also subbing in reruns of “Crisis on Infinite Earths” in lieu of recent Arrowverse indicates.

Per the authentic synopsis, right here’s what Legacies fanatics can assume from tonight’s new episode: “In a race to keep Josie, Hope infiltrates her unconscious and finds herself in a fairytale global full of dark magic. Back on the Salvatore School, Alaric, Lizzie and the Super Squad commit to their own risky plan to get Josie again in spite of the potential results.”
