Mewat : Protest against attack on Hindus

In Mewat, Many social organizations of the district gathered in the Secretariat on Thursday to protest against the incidents of attacks on Hindus during last 2 months. The memorandum was handed over to DRO Naresh Joval under the leadership of Rishi Kumar Das, Mahant of the Panchwati temple.

The memorandum said that there had been many violent incidents with Hindus in Mewat for the last about two months.According to memorandum :-

On 16 April, a father-son was assaulted in Bichhore village.

On 18 April, hundreds of people of a community attacked a Dalit chowkidar’s house in Chandeni village of Noonh.

On 21 April, in Uleta village of Nagina block, a person belonging to Dalit community was beaten up by a youth of a community for demanding mobile`s money.

On 28 April, Cow smugglers on Bachour to Kamar Road broke the police barrier and also fired.

On 29 April, Mahant Ramdas was attacked and tore his clothes in Punhana. On the same day, in Dhadhas village of Nagina block, a Dalit family attacked.  Apart from these, the Jain Medical Store in Bhader village was also looted and threatened to close the shop.

On 12 May, a Hindu boy was beaten for having a shikha.

Mahant Rishi Kumar said that people of a particular community in Mewat are targeting Hindus and torturing them in various ways. Government and administration remain silent spectators. No action has been taken in any of the cases so far. If action is not taken against the accused soon, the entire Hindu community will be forced to agitate.

Those who submitted the memorandum were mainly Tejpal Shastri, Jaisingh, Satbir Patel, Praveen Grover, Sandeep Bhardwaj, Ramesh Mangla, Girraj Kishore, Puneet Bhardwaj, Gulab Singh, Mukesh, Hemant.
